Sens fans put the test with Hwy, 417 shut down

The loyalty of Senators fans will be put to an early season test Saturday night.

The weekend-long closure of Hwy. 417 -- in both directions between Rochester St. and Catherine St. -- while the Ministry of Transportation Ontario replaces the Kent St. bridge is expected to cause significant delays which will especially be felt by those living in the east end who are wishing to attend the Senators game (7 p.m., CITY-TV) against the Arizona Coyotes.

Throw in the options of catching the RedBlacks-Blue Bombers tilt (4 p.m., TSN) and, as of early Friday evening, the potential of the Blue Jays playing a Game 7 in the ALCS (Sportsnet) against the Royals, and the Senators could have one of their smallest crowds in a long time.
