PITTSBURGH — Ottawa Senators prospect Logan Brown is getting a second chance to shine in a season marred by injuries.
Just like the big-league Senators, Brown is also enjoying an extended spring.
His Windsor Spitfires are hosting the Memorial Cup and went 3-0 in the round robin portion of the tournament, guaranteeing them a spot in Sunday’s final.
Brown, drafted 11th overall by the Senators last summer, played in only 35 games in the regular season due to hand, wrist and shoulder injuries. He recorded 14 goals and 26 assists.
In the opening round of the OHL playoffs, when Windsor lost, Brown had four assists.
