The Ottawa Senators will try to accomplish something Thursday night they haven't been able to in three previous attempts: Win at home.
Coming off a 3-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday to start a five-game home stand, Ottawa has a 0-1-2 record at the Canadian Tire Centre to start the season and the Senators know victories here are paramount as they prepare to face the New Jersey Devils at 7:30 p.m.
"We haven't been at our best (here) but these things happen," winger Mark Stone said Thursday morning. "These things happen. The first two games we played pretty and they could have gone either way (with shootout losses).
