Following another demoralizing loss to Buffalo on Tuesday, Ottawa Senators players found renewed energy in their genes Wednesday.
The Senators flew here for Thursday’s game against the New Jersey Devils with their fathers in tow. The father-son trip will continue on to Toronto for Saturday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
“They’re probably the biggest reason why we’re here,” centre Derick Brassard said of his father, Pierre, and the rest of the dads who will receive a first-hand look at the sons’ lifestyles. “They worked so hard for us to achieve our goals. It’s going to be a lot of fun.
