The first scrimmage of training camp gave Thomas Chabot a peek at what could be the crystal ball into his future -- at least on the Senators' power play.
The team's first-round pick of 2015 was paired with Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson.
"It's almost unreal to play with such a good player like that," Chabot said Saturday. "I was watching him on TV, and to have the chance to play with him, it's something I'll remember forever probably."
Chabot said Karlsson was a big help to him.
"He talked to me on the ice, and it's just nice," he said.
