The Ottawa Senators will have to learn to live without rugged defenceman Mark Borowiecki.
Borowiecki never returned Tuesday night after dropping the gloves with Derek Dorsett at 11:08 of the second period against the Vancouver Canucks and sat out Thursday night when the New Jersey Devils came to town.
Borowiecki is listed as day-to-day, but that was third straight game he dropped the gloves and, when the Senators were eliminated by the Pittsburgh Penguins this past spring, he told reporters that instead of surgery on his shoulder he was going to spend the summer going through rehabilitation.
