The Ottawa Senators lost two of their first three games to begin their four-game home stand after a 3-2 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers two nights ago. Tonight, the Senators closed out their home stand against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Last season, the Senators were solid against the Flyers with earning five of a possible six points in the three meetings between the two teams. In an early October showdown, the Senators were able to grind out themselves an important win.
The Senators defeated the Flyers 2-1 at Canadian Tire Centre. With the win, the Senators improved to 3-4-1 overall on the season, and close out their four-game home stand going 2-1-1 overall.
