NASHVILLE - Cody Ceci was lucky to escape serious injury when he was hit through a bench door in last week's game against the Winnipeg Jets.
A similar spill ruptured the spleen of Senators winger Magnus Arvedson 15 years ago.
But after missing just one game, Ceci declared himself ready to return to the Senators blue line for Tuesday's game against the Predators.
"Things have come a long way," Ceci said after practice Monday. "We've had a few days in between, which it's kind of fortunate to have those, and taking the (Carolina) game off gave me an extra couple of days.
