Senators' Andrew Hammond placed on waivers

Andrew Hammond didn’t get much of a birthday present from the Senators.

He has likely played his last game with the club.

Barring an injury to either Craig Anderson or Mike Condon, Hammond, who turns 29 today, will likely head to the club’s AHL affiliate in Binghamton this weekend.

Hammond was placed on waivers at noon Saturday and if he clears Sunday then he’ll be re-assigned to the club’s AHL affiliate in Binghamton.
