Ottawa Senators talking to Havlat

The waiting game continues for the Senators as the clock ticks toward training camp.

The work is done and the roster is set for camp which will get underway Sept. 17 at the Canadian Tire Centre with players reporting for medicals. Except for talks with a few players -- including former Ottawa winger Martin Havlat -- about possible pro tryouts, the Senators are ready to try to get back to the playoffs.

And after a busy off-season that included signing Mark Stone, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Mika Zibanejad, Mike Hoffman, Alex Chiasson and playoff hero Andrew "The Hamburglar" Hammond to contract extensions along with trading goalie Robin Lehner, the Senators are confident they're headed in the right direction.
