Ottawa Senators Select Carson Latimer After Trading into Fourth Round

A pick lost, and a pick gained. After acquiring the 136th overall pick from the Los Angeles Kings earlier today, the Ottawa Senators flipped the selection along with the 170th pick, to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for the 123rd pick.

With that pick, they select forward Carson Latimer from the WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings.

A 6’1 right wing from Surrey, B.C., Latimer scored 5 goals and 11 assists in 22 games with the Oil Kings, and brings with him a threat level away from the puck, at both ends of the ice.
