Vitaly Abramov will have a chance to impress the Ottawa Senators management after being recalled from the minors after just one regular-season game.
Abramov’s recalling comes after both Drake Batherson and Filip Chlapik were sent back down to Belleville to play big minutes and continue their development in the AHL.
The 21-year-old Russian winger was brought into the Senators organisation, along with Jonathan Davidsson and a 2019 first-round pick, in the trade that saw Matt Duchene head down to the Columbus Blue Jackets along with Julius Bergman.
