The Senators had a chance to say goodbye to Mark Reeds Monday.
After the Senators' assistant coach lost his battle with cancer last Tuesday, his family and friends along with the club's staff and players gathered at the Canadian Tire Centre in the afternoon for a private Celebration of Life to remember their times with the 55-year-old Reeds.
While they've been involved in an intense first-round playoff battle with the Montreal Canadiens, the Senators knew they had a difficult day ahead of them because Reeds touched their lives in many different ways.
The gathering was an opportunity to say one fond, final farewell and coach Dave Cameron felt this day would help with the healing.
