Our staff had the same issue that the Senators scouting staff is going to have on draft day. There are a wealth of options available at 22nd overall — a pick obtained in the Derick Brassard deal that ended up favourably high with Pittsburgh’s earlier-than-expected playoff elimination.
As our motto is “go big or go home”, the Ottawa Senators are proud to select, with the 22nd pick of the draft, forward Jonatan Berggren from Skellefteå AIK in the SHL.
Berggren is an offensive dynamo, and has showed it both in international competitions for Sweden, and in his top domestic leagues.
