OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators (@Senators), in conjunction with Hockey Eastern Ontario and Hockey Outaouais along with the Ottawa Senators Foundation, announced today that the team will augment its focus on encouraging area children to play, and stay involved in, local minor hockey through the launch of the Grow the Game program.
With recent trends indicating that registration totals in minor hockey have become stagnant in the region, the Senators are revisiting their mandate of actively working with various minor hockey programs throughout the National Capital Region in an effort to see and sustain an increase in enrollment.
