Little Pageau comes up huge against big, bad Bruins

The diminutive Jean-Gabriel Pageau came up big for the Senators in a huge game Monday night.

Along with scoring his seventh goal of the season, Pageau did another solid checking job on the opponent’s top line.

He was provided Ottawa with a physical presence.

Pageau was given credit for just one hit in a first period that saw him flatten David Backes, who is five inches and 41 pounds bigger than him, and rub Torey Krug out along the boards.

Late in the second, he also got into a vicious exchange with Zdeno Chara, who dwarfs him by 11 inches and 70 pounds, before being tackled and pinned by Brad Marchand.
