Three of the top four scorers from the 2011-12 Ottawa 67's played in Wednesday's game at Canadian Tire Centre, as did the big defenceman who helped shut down the power-laden team in that spring's OHL playoffs.
Dougie Hamilton, who is now on the Flames blue line after a summertime trade from Boston, was an integral part of the Niagara IceDogs squad that defeated the 67's in the conference finals.
Looking back, it's surprising anybody could stop Ottawa that year.
Tyler Toffoli, now a first line right winger and tied as the second highest goal scorer in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings, was the 67's top producer with 52 goals and 100 points.
