Originally selected by the Ottawa Senators in the second round (47th overall) of the 2017 draft, Alex Formenton has done a great job of proving that he can be an NHL calibre player.
After getting drafted by the Senators he played for the London Knights in an injury-shortened 2017/18 season, netting 29 goals and 48 total points in 48 games.
His play in the playoffs that year was really impressive getting five goals and two assists in only four games.
His 2018/19 campaign went differently with stints in both Belleville and Ottawa.
