Game 67 Preview and Open Thread: Ottawa Senators @ Pittsburgh Penguins

The Ottawa Senators have hit the road to Pittsburgh, for a single game road trip. They’ll be facing a slumping Penguins team, who have a current league-high streak of six regulation losses in a row.

Josh Norris was sent back down to Belleville after Saturday’s game, and Colin White will return to the lineup. Marcus Hogberg is in Sweden for family reasons, so Filip Gustavsson will be backing up Craig Anderson. Anthony Duclair took part in yesterday’s line rushes, with Scott Sabourin the odd man out, but it will be Sabourin and not Duclair dressing tonight so it’s not quite clear how the lines will change from yesterday’s:

Tkachuk - Anisimov - Ryan
Duclair - Tierney - Brown
Paul - White - Hawryluk
Balcers - Peca - Boedker

Chabot - Hainsey
Reilly - Zaitsevv Englund - Jaros

Anderson (starter)
Gustavsson

  • Whatever the family reasons are for Hogberg’s absence, our best wishes go out to him and his family
  • If the Penguins slide continues, they might actually be in danger of falling out of the playoffs.
