At the 2015 NHL Draft, the Ottawa Senators landed on drafting Thomas Chabot with the 18th overall pick. Another selection the Senators made in 2015 was on defenseman Christian Jaros with the 139th overall pick.
The Senators were hoping Jaros would turn into a solid fifth-round draft steal, but it didn't happen. Jaros last played a game with the Senators on March 5, 2020. After the 2021-22 season, Jaros was out of the NHL.
Jaros would then join Russia's KHL and play for three different teams. Now, the Slovakian defenseman is returning to the NHL after three years, but not in Ottawa.
