SUNRISE, Fla. -- Robin Lehner bid farewell to the Senators and their faithful Saturday morning.
The former Senators’ goaltender, dealt to the Buffalo Sabres on Friday with centre David Legwand in exchange for a No. 1 pick, posted a message on his twitter accounting thanking Ottawa and indicating he’s looking forward to getting an opportunity to be a top goaltender in his new home.
And, it certainly sounded like he didn’t feel he got that chance here.
“Really looking forward to this new chapter with Buffalo and (to meeting) the team and the staff,” Lehner said in the message he posted from his home in Sweden.
