Bryan Murray has experienced all sorts of emotions since being diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer on June 23, 2014.
On Wednesday night at Canadian Tire Centre, he hit a high.
An Evening with Bryan was a fundraiser organized by the Ottawa Hospital, the Ottawa Senators and the Ottawa Senators Foundation to celebrate Murray’s 34 year hockey career in the NHL and pay tribute to his courageous battle with the dreaded disease.
Proceeds raised at the $500-a-plate gala will go towards a molecular oncology diagnostic lab.
“It started off being a much smaller involvement on my part,” said Murray.
