About an hour before his arbitration hearing was supposed to start, news of a new contract for Connor Brown has broken.
The extension was apparently finished late last night, and carries a three year term at an average of $3.6M. The salary breaks down to $2.8M next season, and $4M in each of the other two years.
The Sens most important RFA put up 43 points in the shortened 71 game season last year, split between 16 goals and a career high 27 assists. Brown mostly played on the wing of Jean-Gabriel Pageau last season, but put up points at a higher pace when centred by Chris Tierney.
