TORONTO -- Mikael Wikstrand is playing the waiting game.
The Senators haven't lifted his suspension and he has no intentions of returning to North America anytime soon so the 21-year-old Swedish blueliner won't be resuming his hockey career anytime soon.
Wikstrand's Toronto-based agent Todd Reynolds, who also represents Senators' winger Chris Neil and rookie goaltender Matt O'Connor, said after Saturday's morning skate at the Air Canada Centre that nothing has changed on his client's front since he left for Sweden in the middle of training camp on Sept. 24.
Because he's under contract with the Senators, Wikstrand can't return to his Swedish Elite League team or play hockey anywhere for that matter unless the club lifts the suspension.
