Ty Lawson to enter rehab following DUI arrest

Earlier this week, Ty Lawson was arrested for the second time this year on charges of driving while under the influence. During a hearing on Friday, Lawson’s attorney said the Nuggets guard will enter a treatment program in Malibu.

“We will be handling the personal needs of the defendant,” said Lawson’s lawyer via ESPN, Harvey Steinberg, who added the program will “ensure his sobriety.”

Lawson will need to spend 30 days in the program or face the risk of having an arrest warrant issued for him by Doris Burd, who presided over Friday’s hearing.
