Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn likely wasn't in the mood to do too much celebrating when he learned Tuesday he was named a finalist for the Ted Lindsay Award.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Benn was in New York resting after his second hip surgery in a week, which was performed Monday by Dr. Bryan Kelly, who works out of the Hospital for Special Surgery.
According to the report, the surgery Monday was not as serious as the surgery on his other hip performed by Kelly the previous Monday.
Stars head athletic trainer Dave Zeis told the newspaper Benn's second surgery was less traumatic than his first.
