Center Sean Couturier signed a multiyear contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. Terms were not released, but Sportsnet reports it's for six years and $26 million with an average annual value of $4.33 million.
Couturier, the eighth pick in the 2011 NHL Draft, scored a career-high 15 goals and had 37 points last season. He had 13 goals and a career-high 39 points in 2013-14, and has played all 82 regular-season games each of the past two seasons.
Couturier is also a valuable penalty killer for the Flyers and led their forwards last season by averaging 2:19 of shorthanded ice time per game.
