One week ago, ESPN debuted its latest 30 for 30 documentary This Magic Moment, chronicling the rise and fall of the Orlando Magic from its founding through the 1990s.
It was a nostalgic trip that featured Shaquille O’Neal, Anfernee Hardaway and the belief that championships were inevitably going to flow easily. That is not how things went. The story was a tragedy in the end, certainly for Magic fans and a lesson in naiveté and maturity.
For one night though with no basketball being played and a generally slow night in sports, the entire sports world was transfixed on the Orlando Magic and their story.
