Postgame Report: Magic vs. Timberwolves

ORLANDO – Too often this season, forward Evan Fournier opined, the Orlando Magic have lost on nights when they were the better team, but fell because of spotty effort during certain stretches or spotty execution in crunch time.

The NBA standings would certainly stand as evidence that the Minnesota Timberwolves are a better team than Fournier’s Magic. However, for just about every second of Tuesday night’s game, Orlando was every bit the equal of the surging Timberwolves and Minnesota’s star-studded roster of Jimmy Butler, Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.

At long last, Orlando shared the ball offensively, had arguably its best rebounding night of the season, fought on defense and rode a career-best performance from Fournier.
