The Orlando Magic waived two-way player Adreian Payne, league sources tell ESPN. He was playing with G-League Lakeland Magic. Payne, a former first-round pick, has surfaced in the Michigan State scandal.
As of 1 a.m. Saturday, the Magic had not released an official statement announcing his dismissal or any additional comments.
Payne was on a two-way contract with the team and played Friday night for the Lakeland Magic against the Canton Charge.
