The Orlando Magic entered the NBA Draft Lottery with a lot of hope and optimism. They had the top odds to win the Lottery and a 52.1-percent chance to land in the top four.
President of basketball operations Jeff Weltman’s face said it all though when Mark Tatum unveiled the team would hold the fifth pick in the upcoming draft. There was a definite feeling of frustration. Luck did not bounce Orlando’s way.
Now the team goes into the draft with two top-10 picks, but the fifth pick in a Draft that feels like it has some strong stars at the top.
