Mo Bamba is getting comfortable, but the new Bamba is a work in progress and he said he’s on board with the Orlando Magic’s plans for him.
Sure, he understands the team’s deliberate process in bringing him along slowly after he added 20 pounds to his 7-foot frame during the NBA coronavirus shutdown. Orlando coach Steve Clifford wants to avoid injury and be sure Bamba can play at a high level while carrying more weight.
During a scrimmage loss to the Los Angeles Lakers Saturday, Bamba did not enter the game until the third quarter, the same limitation he faced during Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers.
