As Orlando Magic coach Steve Clifford points out, eight games in 15 days during the seeding portion of the NBA’s restart will be quite taxing for all teams involved. That’s why, Clifford said, strong bench play the Magic had during their opening victory over Brooklyn Friday will be key to success.
The Magic also will likely go deep into the bench with their lineup rotations. During the 128-118 win over Nets, Clifford played 13 players.
“With eight games in 15 days, I don’t see us being able to stay with a rotation of nine,” Clifford said, noting his preferred tighter rotation during regular season games.
