The Orlando Magic résumé the NBA season on Friday with their first seeding game against the Brooklyn Nets and players will be showing their support for racial equality and social justice.
Prior to the restart in Orlando, the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association agreed on social justice messages that can be displayed on the back of jerseys.
“I still believe that there is a group of people and a population of people that are being oppressed in America, and I believe everybody deserves the right to be free to make decisions and experience things in this life and understand that there’s more to it than just being oppressed,” Gordon said when asked why he chose “Freedom.
