Magic hopeful Terrence Ross nearing preseason debut

Orlando Magic coach Steve Clifford said he’s hopeful shooting guard Terrence Ross will be able to play in one of the team’s remaining preseason games against the Charlotte Hornets.

Clifford said Ross was a full participant in Tuesday’s practice, which included some contact and scrimmage work, and that bodes well for Ross to make his preseason debut. The Magic host the Hornets on Thursday and Saturday.

Ross, the team’s leading 3-point shooter the past two seasons, was held out of contact drills and missed the team’s first two preseason games because of a hairline fracture in his left big toe.
