Magic Have Impressive Streak Going on Defense

ORLANDO – The Orlando Magic’s longest streak in their franchise history of holding opponents to under 38 percent 3-point shooting is 12 games, occurring from March 14, 2000 until April 7, 2000.

The team’s current streak in this category, following limiting the Grizzlies to 37.9 percent from beyond the arc on Friday, is 10 games – a streak that actually began on the final night of last year’s regular season.

What makes the streak more impressive is that Orlando is repeatedly limiting opponents to low 3-point shooting percentages even when the other teams are taking an abundance of them.
