The Orlando Magic seem to be riding high following blowout wins Monday night and Wednesday night, but coach Scott Skiles sees some reason for concern.
The Magic's defense, which has been the foundation of the team's improvement, has slipped recently.
From the start of the season through Dec. 4, the Magic limited opponents to 42.7 percent shooting. The Magic were the NBA's fifth-best field-goal percentage defense.
Since Dec. 5, however, Magic opponents have made 44.9 percent of their shots. In games from Dec. 5 through Wednesday, the Magic ranked 12th in the NBA in field-goal percentage defense.
