Increasing 3-Point Attempts and Improving Percentage Key for Magic

ORLANDO – The Magic have made some progress in their 3-point shooting this season. Last year, they averaged 19.5 3-point attempts per game and shot 34.7 percent. This year, those averages are at 22.4 and 34.9. However, to become a more potent offensive team, those numbers are going to have to increase.

When you assess the teams that shoot the highest percentages from beyond the arc, they are generally among the elite. The Warriors, Spurs, Bulls, Raptors, Blazers, Clippers, Wizards, Hornets and Jazz are the top 10 ranked 3-point shooting teams based on percentage. All those teams are either in the playoffs or in the playoff mix.
