ORLANDO – Frank Vogel considers himself something of a 1980s and ‘90s movie buff with his ability to recite lines from many of the famous flicks from that generation.
Incredibly, Vogel has never seen, in its entirety, ``Groundhog Day,’’ the 1993 fantasy-comedy film where bitter and jaded weatherman Phil Connors travels to Punxsutawney, Pa., to cover the annual Groundhog Day ceremonies only to get stuck in a maddening time loop where each day is the same over and over again.
Considering the state of his Orlando Magic these days, Vogel might not even need to see ``Groundhog Day’’ because he’s living out Bill Murray’s starring role in the movie.
