Beede’s Breakdown: Magic hand Knicks 1st home loss despite Banchero injury

Riding the wave of Desmond Bane‘s buzzer-beating 3-pointer against the Trail Blazers on Monday, the Magic hoped to travel to New York and earn a quality win on the road Wednesday.

Without Paolo Banchero most of the night due to a left groin strain suffered in the first half, Orlando came together and handed the Knicks their first home loss of the season, 124-107, thanks to a team-high 28 points from Franz Wagner.

Jamahl Mosley‘s squad only trailed by 2 points early in the contest and led by as many as 21 Wednesday night when the Magic won their fifth game in the past seven facing a New York squad (7-4) that was playing on the second night of a back-to-back.
