For a decade now, the Orlando Magic have called the Amway Center home. They played their first game in the state-of-the-art building on this day 10 years ago.
The Magic were coming off of deep playoff runs in consecutive years as they left Amway Arena for the Amway Center. In the 2010-11 season opener on Oct. 28, 2010, the Magic made a good first impression on their new digs with a 112-83 blowout victory over the Washington Wizards.
Adversity was non-existent in Orlando’s Amway Center debut. In fact, the Magic never trailed.
Orlando led by 14 after a quarter and 58-34 at halftime.
