Yankees commit four errors in sloppy loss to Royals, their second defeat in last three games

KANSAS CITY — If Monday was wacky and wild, Tuesday was just sloppy and stretched to the limit. The Yankees committed four errors and their pitching was stretched thin as the Royals cashed in on two of them and beat the Bombers 8-4 at Kauffman Stadium.

It was the second loss in the last three games for the Yankees (62-51), who will try to rally and win the series on Wednesday afternoon.

Catcher Kyle Higashioka, who had four career errors coming into the game, committed two Tuesday night. Rookie pitcher Stephen Ridings and Luke Voit each committed an error.
