WWE’s Drew McIntyre ready for roar of the crowd at WrestleMania in Tampa

During the nightmarish global pandemic, we all miss being around other people. For WWE champion Drew McIntyre, though, it’s a little different.

His work relies on hearing the oohs and ahhs, the yays and boos from thousands of people in an arena. And since March 9, 2020, he hasn’t had that live experience as a pro wrestler.

That all changes April 10 and 11, when WrestleMania 37 invades Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay with an undetermined number of live, socially distanced fans at the outdoor venue.

For McIntyre, who won the WWE title on an empty set in Orlando last March and has held it for most of the year, the thought of bringing back spectators makes him giddy.
