“We just got word from the county and wrestling will not be apart of the Junior Olympic Games this year in Brevard County,” said Chris Fox in an email to the Orlando Sentinel. Fox is the AAU sports manager for wrestling and track and field.
After the announcement earlier this month from Gov. Ron DeSantis that the Junior Olympics would be competed in Brevard County after being unable to compete in Norfolk, Virginia as planned, there was a question of which sports would take place.
There was a hope that wrestling could be a part of the Junior Olympics in Brevard at one point, but there was an issue of not being able to find a venue to host it.
