Not to be greedy, but the Winter Springs senior said adding another Florida High School Athletic Association championship medallion to his collection this weekend would be a really big deal.
Collins pinned four consecutive state tournament opponents to win the heavyweight Class 2A state wrestling title in dominating fashion last March.
On Saturday he hopes to pin down another 2A title in weightlifting. He is the leading qualifier in the 238-pound weight class going into the meet at Port St. Joe High School.
“It’s just as important as winning the first one,” said Collins, who celebrated his 18th birthday on Tuesday.
