Winter Park will be tested this week with back-to-back high school baseball outings against quality Orange County opposition.
The Wildcats (13-1), which last week ranked No. 11 in the Class 7A FHSAA power ratings, play Tuesday at No. 18 Dr. Phillips (8-4) and Wednesday at home vs. No. 13 Apopka (13-1).
Those matchups feature three programs vying for the top seed in their respective districts before tournament play begins April 26.
Winter Park is batting .318 as a team with 32 extra-base hits. Seniors Michael Fletcher (17-for-37) and Cade Haddix (14-for-26) lead the way at the plate and have a combined 22 runs scored.
