Windermere High names former NFL assistant Robert Couch new head football coach

Robert Couch let the housing market decide where he and his family would settle after spending three seasons as an assistant coach with the Cincinnati Bengals.

“We put our houses in Ohio and Florida up for sale and said, ‘Wherever God takes us, that’s where we’re going,’ and the house in Ohio sold in four days,” said Couch. “If ever we needed a sign, we got it.”

Couch, who moved from Texas to the Orlando area in 2015, was named Windermere High’s new head football coach last week. The school announced the hire on its website late Sunday night.
