Wacky sequence in the 5th inning doesn’t go the Chicago White Sox’s way in a 6-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, their 3rd straight defeat

MILWAUKEE — The Chicago White Sox trailed by four runs Saturday but had the bases loaded and no outs in the fifth inning against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Leury García hit a swinging bunt between the mound and plate. Brewers starter Corbin Burnes picked up the ball, and his off-balance throw was wide of home. Yoán Moncada scored — or so it appeared.

“I missed home plate,” Moncada said through an interpreter. “I thought I had a step up but obviously I didn’t.”

Brewers - White Sox is currently undergoing one of the longest replay reviews to date after Yoan Moncada apparently missed home plate on this play ud83eudd26‍u2642ufe0fpic.
