VANCOUVER, BC — The Vancouver Whitecaps have sent midfielder Simon Colyn on a 10-day training stint with Dutch Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven starting on November 23.
“This is a good opportunity for Simon to receive some additional experience,” said Whitecaps new sporting director Axel Schuster in an official statement published by the club. “This will be a different challenge for Simon both on and off the pitch, and ultimately it will help further his development.”
The 17-year-old midfielder joined the Whitecaps FC Academy in 2016 and was signed to a first-team contract in April 2018.
