The Vancouver Whitecaps have added to their goalkeeping corps after making a deal with Inter Miami CF.
On Wednesday, the two clubs announced that they had agreed to a trade, which sends Bryan Meredith to Vancouver. In exchange for the goalkeeper, the Whitecaps are sending their 2021 fourth round MLS SuperDraft pick to Miami.
Inter Miami had acquired Meredith through the MLS Expansion Draft.
“We are happy to welcome Bryan to the club,” Whitecaps FC sporting director Axel Schuster said in a statement. “He will bring additional experience and leadership to the group both on and off the pitch.
